Do you or anyone you know have intrest in a regular gig...maybe a two night stand once or twice a month? Not looking for backround music. Looking for an attraction. Thanks for any advice you might have.

10.03.07 | David Mahoney Hello, Colin, wellcome to New Orleans, from fellow drummer David Mahoney. I hope your enjoying yourself, any tips on getting in the monk band for 2010? That is my goal, and I would love to get some insight into how you prepaired. I'm buddies with Greg Hicks we went to Loyola together and played a lot togther. And we were on my Dad's big band gig last night and Greg told me that we have the same band name The Gathering, funny like minds think. I realliy enjoy your sound on youtube and your websight and look forward to hearing more of you. I guess I will see you on the seen! take care,
David, www.davidmahoneymusic.com
08.23.07 | Jeff Waychoff Hey man my name is Jeff Waychoff and I am a 22 year old rummer here in Denver. I studied briefly with Rudy Royston and am now studying vigorously with the amazing Paul Romaine. I try to practice upwards of three hours a day, but I am curious to know what your practice regimen is currently and what it has been in the past, along with any suggestions you might have for me. Thanks alot man, keep up the good work!
-Jeff Waychoff
08.02.07 | CLEMENT Maxime Very nice gig at the Pizza Express...amazing drumming ! I wish seeing you in Paris one day ! ;)
08.01.07 | Barbara Cockburn I really enjoyed your set last night at the Soho's Pizza Express Jazz Club.
It was like eavesdropping on a conversation between you, John Escreet, the saxophist and the bassist.
Watching you and the bass player communicate was fabulous. It was though you were both saying: "Ha, I can do this, show me what you can do! and beat that!"
You all displayed incredibly raw talent. I wish you luck in New Orleans and with whatever the future holds.
Keep on drumming....
Barbara

06.15.06 | Kim Humphreys Hello -- I just heard your name on a promo on Colorado Matters on KCFR. I think your dad was my music teacher at West Middle School in the '80s. If that's him, he's a stand-up guy. I was going through a rough time in 8th grade (who doesn't?), and he pulled me aside to ask if I was OK and tell me he cared. I meant a lot to me -- enough that I remember alllll these years later. I didn't stay with music, but he was a very positive influence anyway. Please give him my thanks.
I look forward to hearing your work on CM tomorrow.
Best,
Kim Humphreys (lousy flutist)
